Hank Brady
President

Hank relocated from Florida to Colorado in 2010 where he met his wife Cheryl and very much enjoys the Colorado weather. He has worked in the beverage industry for over 27 years and is currently employed as a Market Development Manager with the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. Prior to working with DPSG, he was employed with Coca Cola Enterprises and Anheuser-Busch. He completed the Leadership Tallahassee Program in 2001 and also served two terms with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. In his extra time he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and attending Colorado Rockies games. Hank and Cheryl co-founded the Because of Becca Foundation in 2014 to honor his daughter, Becca, and to spread her smile across the map. Together, they believe it is more important than ever for families to make memories with their kids.

Kathy Bell
Vice-President

Kathy and her husband John own and run a consulting engineering firm in Florida where Kathy handles the daily operations of the firm. She is a 5th generation Floridian who moved to Tallahassee, Florida in the mid-90’s. Kathy enjoys gardening, travel, wines and FSU football. Her connection to the Because of Becca Foundation is actually because of Becca! Becca worked part-time in a student position at Kathy’s office while attending college at FSU. Kathy eagerly accepted her position on the board of the Because of Becca Foundation when it was founded in 2014. She and Becca’s dad, Hank, are good friends and she finds the mission of the organization to be not only important but healing at the same time.

Mark Wurm
Secretary

Mark is originally from Ohio and is married with 2 daughters. He has lived in California, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee prior to moving to Tallahassee in 1999. Mark works as a Sales Representative for a printing company and, over the past 20 years, has enjoyed many days of umpiring high school or college baseball games and helping coach travel softball. He believes that being involved in sports is a great teaching tool for life and helping kids and families have that opportunity is what makes the Because of Becca Foundation such a great organization. Maintaining Becca’s legacy and continuing to spread smiles for others is what drives Mark to be a member of the Board and he takes great pride in his roll with this foundation. In his free time he and his family enjoy watching sporting events, especially FSU football games, and any baseball or softball games they can.

Lynn Martin

Treasurer

Lynn Martin has resided in Colorado since 1974. She has worked as a CPA for over 20 years and is currently employed with Middlemist Crouch & Co in Boulder, CO. Lynn and her husband have been married for 32 years and have two children together. She has three sisters and enjoys spending time getting together with their families and her parents, who all live on the Colorado front range. When she can find the time, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis and spending time with family. Lynn joined the board of the Because of Becca Foundation in 2015 to help make something good out of a tragic situation. She believes organizations like this help everyone’s life have meaning and feels honored to be involved.

Joette Daniel

Board Member

Joette was born in Syracuse, NY and now resides in Tallahassee, FL with her husband and three children. Joette has been a stay at home mom for over nineteen years and knows the value of family memories. She has taken care of many additional children during her time at home and finds that to be very rewarding in many ways. She joined the Because of Becca Foundation, as a board member, in 2014 and is excited to see how the organization helps children participate in their favorite sports. In her spare time Joette enjoys spending time at the beach, kayaking, and going to the gym.

Jay Holmes
Board Member

Jay is a Colorado native with multiple stops in Texas and Nebraska before making Thornton, CO his current home. Jay works in the Finance Department of a local shoe company. Youth sports are part of some of his best memories as a child and he strongly believes that youth teams help teach & develop life lessons that help kids grow into better individuals as adults. Jay joined the Because of Becca Foundation’s board in 2016 and is excited to be a part of giving kids the same experiences and memories that helped shape his childhood. In his free time, Jay enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time in the mountains with his wife and two young sons.
