Make a Difference for the Animals. Pledge to "SAVE A LIFE."

Instead of purchasing incentives that our participants may or may not really want, we're going to save almost $4,000 and use that money to save more lives. On average, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley spends $325 for every animal that comes through our doors. By not purchasing water bottles and pedometers this year, we'll be able to save 12 more animals' lives and find them new homes!

Here's how you can save even more animals' lives! We're hoping that every person who participates in this year's event will commit to raising $325 in pledges from your friends and family. You can literally save the life of a homeless animal in our community by asking 13 people to each make a $25 donation.

Pledge goals to aim for:
$50	Buys milk replacement for a litter of motherless kittens.
$75	Vaccinates a litter of puppies.
$100	Neuters two homeless puppies or kittens.
$150	Transfers one healthy dog to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley from an overpopulated community.
$250	Provides 2 weeks of housing for the pet of a displaced family.
$325	SAVES THE LIFE of one animal at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Participants who raise $325 or more for A Cause for Paws will receive a commemorative hoodie sweatshirt donated by a generous local merchant.
$500	Allows us to rehabilitate one fearful dog through our Behavior Modification Program which provides dogs and cats who display concerning behaviors the tools they need to be successful in their new homes.
$750	Allows an older cat to have dental surgery, greatly improving their quality of life (and cat breath), as well as their chances for adoption.
$1,000	Provides hospitalization and treatment for a puppy suffering from the deadly Parvovirus.

Raising money to help the animals couldn't be easier - participants can create their own simple, user-friendly web page, where they can send emails, track their progress and post their own pictures and stories about the special animals in their lives. We also have paper pledge forms for folks who prefer to ask for pledges in person.
