Animal Transfer Program Across a four state region, Humane
Society of Boulder Valley is helping animals that cannot find homes
through their local shelters and rescue groups. Because many shelters
lack the resources they need to care for the number of animals they
receive, HSBV created the Transfer Program to help animals get the
second chance they deserve for a loving home. Recently, we had a very special delivery from two of our transfer partners – Paws & Claws Shelter and Pueblo Animal Shelter. Three mothers nursing a total of 16 tiny puppies arrived at our door. Facing an uncertain future, now these puppies will grow up in a foster home, receiving all the medical care and nurturing they need to grow healthy physically and emotionally. The mother dogs – Sugar Plum, Topaz and Abbie – will also receive the nourishment and care they need to be healthy themselves while also providing for the needs of their growing pups. When the puppies are old enough, they and their mothers will enter Cookie's Adoption Center. We know our foundation of care and love will carry on as they go their separate ways into their new homes.
