Saki and Frosty

We recently received half a dozen cats from one of our partnering animal shelters through our Animal Transfer Program. Our Animal Transfer Program helps organizations across Colorado and neighboring states by taking in some of their animals and helping them find new homes here in our community.

Included in our transfer that day were two cats with extensive histories of severe broken ribs and other bones consistent with abusive injuries. It was clear these cats had suffered at the hands of humans. Both cats received medical care and treatment at the partnering animal shelter and were transferred to us once they were healthy and ready to make the trip to Boulder. Saki, a male six-year-old Seal Point Siamese and Frosty, a male seven-year-old Lynx Point, are now safe and sound at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.

Amazingly friendly and loving considering their past, both cats will remain with us at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley until they find a new home – homes that will give them each the love and security they deserve.
