Rosalita

Confiscated from a household where they were not receiving the care they needed, Rosalita and her three tiny kittens were brought to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Rosalita required emergency surgery for a pro-lapsed uterus as soon as she arrived at our Veterinary Clinic. While Rosalita recovered, her three unweened kittens went to a foster home where they were bottle-fed formula.

The kittens thrived in their foster home environment with Xan Avery. They grew up accustomed to Xan’s other animals, young children and a busy household. Two of the three kittens, Spike and Tut, grew quickly, reaching 2 lbs, the required weight for sterilization surgery.

After surgery, both recovered with the Avery family and went into the HSBV’s Adoption Center where they were quickly adopted.

The runt of the litter, Ugg, remained too tiny for surgery and went to a new foster home. There he continued to receive the love, attention and nourishment he needed to grow strong and healthy. Ugg bonded with his new foster mom and brother, Milo, and they decided to adopt him. And Rosalita? She is fully recovered and doing great in her home!
